World Oceans Day 2016 Celebration June 4th, 2016
The SULIS team had a great time celebrating World Oceans Day at the Marine Institute in St. John's. They shared footage of some of the stunning local coastal waters and engaged with fellow ocean lovers on how we can work together to help protect our oceans. It appears we have quite the future of ocean conservationists, scientists, and explorers to look forward to!

The Johnson GEO CENTRE in partnership with the Ocean Learning Partnership and Memorial University, hosted a live broadcast of the Schmidt Ocean Institute’s research expedition as part of an Ocean Exploration Series. SULIS’s Founder and CEO, Adam Gobi, shared footage from the SULIS Z70 (4K deep-sea camera) designed for the Schmidt Ocean Institute’s new Science ROV. The picture featured on the right is Adam speaking with the Johnson GEO CENTRE kid’s day camp on the importance of ocean exploration.
